Note**: The vacancies are provisional and it may vary as per Bank’s requirement. The Bank reserves its right to interchange the
number of reserved vacancies in various categories as per Government Guidelines.
Important Notes:
The number of vacancies is provisional and may vary according to actual requirements of the Bank.
The candidates will have to apply for vacancy of one state only. A candidate applying against vacancy of one state
will not be eligible to apply against vacancy of any other state. Merit list will be drawn state wise.
The selected candidates will be posted within the selected State for first 10 years of their service or upto their
promotion to SMGS IV Grade, whichever is earlier.
Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing & Speaking) in the specified local language of the state (as per Statewise vacancy table above).
Prior experience will not be considered for any seniority in service.
For SC/ST/OBC candidates:
Even if there is no vacancy reserved for SC/ST/OBC category candidates for a particular post, such candidates can
still apply. However, they will not be eligible for any concession/relaxation etc. SC/ST candidates are exempt from
payment of application fee even in such case but will have to pay specified intimation charges.

(C) Cut-off dates for eligibility:
The Cut-off Date for UNION BANK OF INDIA the purpose of eligibility in Age criteria shall be the 1st day of the month in which online registration commences i.e.
01.10.2024.
The Cut-off date for the purpose of eligibility in respect of Educational Qualification shall be the last date for online registration as
notified i.e. 13.11.2024. The date of passing the examination, which is reckoned for eligibility under the parameter of educational
qualification, will be the date appearing on the mark sheet/passing certificate, whichever is earlier. The applicants should indicate the
percentage calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online applications. Where CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average)/ SGPA
(Semester Grade Point Average)/ OGPA (Overall Grade Point Average) are awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and
indicated in the online application.
Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under creamy layer and/ or if their caste does not find place in the Central List are not
entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General in the online application form.
PROBATION PERIOD:
The selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of 2 years of active service from the date of his / her joining the Bank.
SERVICE INDEMNITY BOND:
The selected candidates will be required to execute a Service Indemnity Bond undertaking to serve the UNION BANK OF INDIA for a minimum period of 3 years
or to pay the Bank a sum of Rs.2,00,000.00 (Rs. Two Lakh Only) plus applicable taxes as per Government rules in case he / she leaves the
Bank before completion of 3 years of active service.
SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection process may comprise of Online Examination / Group Discussion (if conducted)/Screening of applications and / or Personal
Interview depending on the numbers of applicants/eligible candidates. The Bank reserves the absolute right to decide as to whether to use
all or any of these modes for selection for the notified posts.
7.1 Online Examination / Test:
(I) Structure of the Examination:

Descriptive Paper of English Language (Letter writing & Essay) may be evaluated by an automated scoring mechanism for identifying features
related to writing proficiency. This scoring mechanism is duly validated and evaluates proficiency of test takers in writing in English Language
in an objective manner as the mechanism does not have any in-built biases for evaluating responses.
The UNION BANK OF INDIA also reserves the right to modify/alter the structure of the online examination which will be intimated through UNION BANK OF INDIA Banks’ website.
Other detailed information regarding the examination will be provided in an Information Handout, which will be made available for the
candidates to download along with the call letters from the website www.unionbankofindia.co.in.
| Please note that candidates will not be permitted to appear for Online Examination without the following documents: (1) Valid Call Letter for the respective date and session of Examination. (2) Photo-identity proof (as specified) in original bearing the same name as it appears on the call letter/ application form Candidates reporting late i.e. after the reporting time specified on the call letter for Examination will not be permitted to take the examination. The reporting time mentioned on the call letter is prior to the Start time of the test. (II) PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS (Applicable to Online Examination)
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the
candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is
left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
(III) CUT-OFF SCORE (Online Examination) FOR UNION BANK OF INDIA
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online examination and also a minimum total score to be considered
to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted
for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the Online examination will not be shared with the
candidates shortlisted for interview.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT):
The candidate must have Proficiency (reading, writing and speaking) in the Local Language of the State applied for. Candidates shortlisted in
the UNION BANK OF INDIA Online Examination will be required to qualify Language Proficiency test, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for Personal
Interview and thus their candidature will not be considered for further selection process.
However, candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard marksheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified local language of the
applied State as one of the subjects will not be required to undergo the language proficiency test.
Personal Interview (PI)
Merit list of candidates based on the marks obtained by them in Online Examination will be prepared in descending order for the respective
categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/General. Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for Online Examination and ranking
sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for personal Interview.
Mere passing in the online test shall not vest any right to a candidate for being called for Personal Interview. In case of equal marks by two
or more candidates, merit order of such group of candidates will be on the basis of Date of Birth i.e. candidates senior in age will be placed
higher in the merit list.
For interview the candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:3 as against the number of vacancies. However, Bank may modify the said ratio
at its own discretion.
The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD
candidates). The applicants not securing the minimum qualifying marks in the Personal Interview will be disqualified for selection. Interview
score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be
disclosed.
The weightage (ratio) of Online Exam and Interview will be in the ratio of 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be
arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Examination and Interview.
